FAQ
Short answers to the questions people ask first. Each answer links to the page with the full detail.
What is RTP?
Section titled “What is RTP?”RTP is a terminal for meme-token markets. Today you can browse Signals, see live Pulse and trade market data, browse the launch station and fill in a launch, and get live Swap quotes. Signing and submitting is not open yet. See What is live for the full breakdown of what works today.
Do I need to hold a token to use RTP?
Section titled “Do I need to hold a token to use RTP?”No. No platform token has been issued and no access gate is in force — you do not need to hold anything to open the terminal and read. See Access tiers for what a future gate would require if one is ever turned on.
Is RTP custodial? Who holds my keys?
Section titled “Is RTP custodial? Who holds my keys?”No. RTP’s servers do not hold, receive, or have any means of decrypting your private keys. Transactions are signed in your browser by your wallet — never on RTP’s servers. Your login wallet only signs you in. See Custody and security for the full model and what it does not protect against.
What is the Wallet, and how is it different from my login wallet?
Section titled “What is the Wallet, and how is it different from my login wallet?”Your login wallet — Phantom, Solflare, or Backpack for Solana, or MetaMask for Ethereum-based chains — signs you in and proves you control it. It never signs a Trade, Swap, or launch. The Wallet lives in your browser at wallet.rtp.fun and signs the trades, swaps, and launches you approve, once signing is available. See Wallet and access and the Glossary.
What does it cost to Trade, Swap, or launch?
Section titled “What does it cost to Trade, Swap, or launch?”Trade (buy or sell a token) costs 1%; Swap (stablecoins, or moving value across chains) costs 0.35%. RTP charges nothing to create a coin, on any launch option. You pay the network fee, and some partner platforms charge their own creation fee. Trading on the Classic curve costs 1.30% total before graduation, then 0.25% after. Instant, on Robinhood Chain, has no RTP launch fee and costs a 0.25% pool fee plus a 0.10% creator fee on every buy. A partner platform sets its own fees. The confirmation screen shows the total before you sign. See Fees for the complete schedule.
Where do creator earnings go, and do they expire?
Section titled “Where do creator earnings go, and do they expire?”Creator earnings belong to the creator — RTP never takes a share of them. You claim earnings yourself; a claim is a pull, never something RTP sends you. Unclaimed earnings never expire. Claiming is not open yet in this build. See Fees.
What happens at graduation?
Section titled “What happens at graduation?”Graduation is the point where a Classic curve coin reaches its target. Its liquidity then moves to a public pool, locked 100% permanently, and trading there costs 0.25%. See Fees and the Glossary.
Why can’t I sign or submit a transaction yet?
Section titled “Why can’t I sign or submit a transaction yet?”RTP already builds and shows you what a launch, Trade, Swap, or claim would do — building and previewing a transaction works today. What is not available yet is the last step: asking you to sign and submit it. Signing in with a login wallet is a separate step and already works. See What is live and Limitations.
Which chains and partner platforms can I launch on?
Section titled “Which chains and partner platforms can I launch on?”From the launch station you choose a chain, then a launch option: RTP’s own Classic curve on Solana or Instant on Robinhood Chain, or a partner platform you choose by name — for example pump.fun, Bags, Zora, Clanker, or Flaunch. A chain or option that isn’t open yet stays visible, shown as disabled — BNB Chain, home to Four.meme and Flap, is not open yet. See Launch options.
How do I report a bug or a security issue?
Section titled “How do I report a bug or a security issue?”Report privately, before disclosing publicly. A dedicated security address hasn’t been published yet — see Contact for the current channels, and Security disclosure for what’s in scope, what RTP commits to (acknowledgement within 3 business days of a report reaching an official channel), and the safe-harbor terms for researchers.
How do I avoid phishing?
Section titled “How do I avoid phishing?”RTP will never ask for your private key, recovery phrase, or a signature that grants spending rights over your wallet — on any channel, for any reason. RTP never sends you a direct message first. Check the domain, not the display name, and only use wallet.rtp.fun for the Wallet. See Contact.
What do I need to use RTP?
Section titled “What do I need to use RTP?”A current desktop browser. A wallet isn’t required to read Signals or Pulse, but you need one to sign in, and you’ll need one again to sign a transaction once that is available. See Limitations for the full operating requirements.
What happens if I lose my wallet recovery phrase?
Section titled “What happens if I lose my wallet recovery phrase?”Nothing can restore it without the phrase. RTP cannot read your recovery phrase and cannot recover it for you — save an offline copy before you fund the Wallet, since clearing your browser’s site data deletes the local copy. See Wallet and access and Contact.
